Shopping for Art on Cruise Ships

Purchasing art on a cruise ship is exhilarating.   Our family recently went on the Caribbean Princess and the cruise provided  a lesson in art history,  a wide variety of tastes, and the thrill of bidding on something that entices you.   It ranges from Renaissance to contemporary artists.  I was impressed that Andy Warhol was part of the collection.  He is an icon from the 60's and still is appreciated today.
First you must have a number to hold up.  All you have to do is give your room number.
If you want to purchase on credit then you fill out a form.  It is as simple as that.  They will ship your painting to your home.   They give you time to browse the gallery and you put your number on a painting that interest you..
Sometimes they have surprise bids.  They represent several selections from the same artist and if  you want to get in on the bidding you hold up your number.
The art auction staff is very charming  and will answer all of your questions.  It was led by a husband and wife team.
Andy Warhol painted this wonderful representation of the Statue of Liberty given to us as a symbol of freedom from France.
I loved the romantic women represented in the collection
They could have been from the 19th century.
They captured the thoughts and wishes of the women.

This mother and child painting could go in a girls bedroom above the bed.

 Modern art was also represented.
Venice, Italy canals bring romance to your home.
This painting reminded me of our cruise to Greece.   Next time you go on a cruise ship check out the art.  It brings a great memory from your trip.
